TRACTORFOLK / THE FIELD MANUAL
Our editorial approach
TractorFolk is written by the TractorFolk editorial team for people making practical decisions about small tractors and their land.
Independent of the brands.
We are not a manufacturer or dealer. A brand’s color doesn’t determine our coverage, and we don’t describe research as hands-on testing or ownership.
Show where the details come from.
For specifications, service requirements, and operating limits, our guides should point readers to the relevant manufacturer documentation or other appropriate primary source. Where models or years differ, those differences need to be clear.
Keep advice in context.
A guide can help you understand a decision or procedure. It cannot inspect your machine or your land. The manuals for your exact tractor and implements remain the authority for their operation and limits.
Be clear about commercial links.
If a guide contains affiliate links, it should disclose that relationship. Paid relationships should not be presented as independent testing.
Build the library honestly.
We do not publish sample titles as finished articles or invent experience, qualifications, testimonials, or test results. Sections are populated as guides are completed.
