Affiliate Disclosure

Clear advice.
Clear relationships.

How affiliate links fit into TractorFolk, and what they mean for you.

You should be able to see when a recommendation could earn TractorFolk a commission. This page explains how affiliate links work and how we approach them.

TractorFolk may use links to retailers or other businesses that participate in affiliate programs. If you follow one of those links and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission.

The retailer determines which purchases qualify under its program. A commission is a commercial relationship between this site and that business. You do not pay TractorFolk a separate fee for using the link.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Where you should see a disclosure

When an article includes affiliate recommendations or links, a clear disclosure should appear where readers can see it with that content. This policy page provides background; it does not replace a disclosure beside a relevant recommendation.

A link to a manufacturer manual, university publication or other source does not by itself mean that we receive a commission. Research references and commercial links serve different purposes.

How this fits our editorial approach

Our aim is to help owners choose equipment that fits their machine, land and work. The existence of an affiliate program does not establish that a product is suitable. Compatibility, specifications, practical limits and available evidence belong in the recommendation.

Research based comparisons should be described as such. We do not claim to have tested a product because we can link to a retailer selling it. If we receive a product, payment or another benefit connected to coverage, that relationship should be clearly identified with the coverage.

Read our editorial approach for more about evidence, generated illustrations and corrections. You can also learn who TractorFolk is written for.

Before you buy

Check the current price, exact model, compatibility and terms directly with the seller. Stock, shipping, returns and warranty arrangements can vary. TractorFolk does not process your order or control the retailer’s service.

You can use our guides without making a purchase through any link. If a commercial relationship is unclear, or a recommendation appears to conflict with a specification, contact the editorial team with the article address and the detail you want us to review.

The FTC’s guidance on endorsements and disclosures explains why material relationships should be made clear to readers.
